Convex Lens
In a film projecter, a convex lens is usually placed between the bulb and the film. What’s the purpose of lens?
• make the image brighter.
• laterally invert the image.
• produce the image of the film on the screen.
• correct any distortions in the image.
Please provide satisfactory reason for this.
Hi say cheese! seems you have stated some how distorted one. Lens will be usually kept in between the film and the screen. Of course light from a bulb would be allowed to fall on the film. In your case the light falling on the film has to be parallel. So light from a bulb being at the focus of the lens would go parallel on the other side of the lens.
So if lens is kept in between bulb and film, it is to make falling light to be parallel
If the lens is kept in between the film and the screen, that would produce the image on the screen.
