Question about the Walking Horse Bit?
I’m planning on buying my horse a walking horse bit. I only wanted to ask this: Does the bit have to have a curb strap? and if so, is it placed on the same ring as you attach the headstall? I use a curb strap on my horse currently (he’s in a Wonder Bit) and I was wondering if I’d still need it once i switched bits. He absolutely WILL NOT yield to the bit without the strap on his wonder bit. So will I still need it once I switch?
Yes, it’s a curb bit, so it’s meant to be used with a curb strap or curb chain. If your horse has problems without it in the Wonder Bit, he will have problems without it in the Walking Horse bit. And, yes, the curb strap or curb chain attaches to the ring on top along with the headstall.
